Kate Rooney, MS, RDN, LD holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in Integrative Health and Nutrition from Stephen F. Austin State University, where she also completed her Dietetic Internship.
Kate’s clinical focus includes medical nutrition therapy for chronic disease management, sports nutrition, and eating disorder treatment across all levels of care. She enjoys taking evidence based nutrition science and turning it into realistic, individualized plans that actually fit into everyday life.
She has clinical experience across acute care, outpatient specialty clinics, and community nutrition settings, including supervised practice experience in diabetes education, renal nutrition, and community wellness programming. She has worked with diverse patient populations managing conditions such as type 1 and type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, gastrointestinal disorders, and metabolic disease, while also supporting individuals navigating disordered eating and sports performance goals. Her approach blends performance nutrition with a patient centered framework that prioritizes sustainability and a healthy relationship with food.
She currently resides in Tyler, Texas and provides nutrition counseling services virtually to clients across the State of Texas. Kate is passionate about helping clients achieve their health goals while building a healthy relationship with food rooted in nourishment, flexibility, and enjoyment.
